“It was a tough loss for the team, and a lot to learn from it,” said Pacific Head Coach Ryan Redondo. “We came out a bit slow in doubles, and made a come back but was a bit late. However, the late doubles push gave us momentum into singles. We had a couple very close matches that we struggled to capitalize on. We have a lot of very important lessons to take away from today that will help us heading into another tough opponent, Oregon.”

The Tigers fell in each of the first two doubles matchups, as New Mexico took the doubles point. Sophomore Sem Verbeek and sophomore Daniel Alameh each picked up singles victories, while Denis Stolyarov was in up in a third set that would have made the match 4-3.
