With Regionals all wrapped up Pacific sophomore Sem Verbeek notched up a handful of wins to make it to the Final of the Singles draw. On his way to the final he defeated Sai Kartik(Fresno State), Nikhil Jayashankr(Cal), Sam McNeil(Fresno State), Andre Goransson(Cal) and a notable victory against Stanford #1 and #1 seed John Morrissey, also ranked 37 in the nation. Verbeek finally dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision to No. 2 Seed Campbell Johnson of Cal in the ITA Northwest Regional final.
Other Tigers also provided wins in the early stages of the tournament with 5 of the men winning through their first round of matches. These wins included matches against individuals from teams from the Pac-12, Washington and Oregon as well as WCC Saint Mary’s.
