The Pacific Men’s Tennis program currently holds a 5-4 record. The Tigers struck the first competitive ball of the spring team season on January 19th at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. The Tigers earned a season opening victory on the road with a 4-3 score. Next on the road was the 5th ranked Pepperdine Waves. The Tigers were blanked 7-0 by the waves, however, they went on to defeat UC Davis and the University of San Francisco before losing to the Cal Bears. One week later the Tigers came out with another 4-3 victory over the St. Mary’s Gaels.
Returning back to Big West Conference play, the Tigers traveled to the University of Hawai’i in Manoa, and again won a 4-3 battle. The very next day, the Tigers dropped yet another 4-3 battle the SDSU Aztecs. On February 23rd the Pacific Tigers travelled to battle the Fresno State Bulldogs. After starting the dual down 1-0 after the doubles point, the Pacific Tigers clawed back within inches of victory before falling to the Bulldogs 4-3.
Next up for Pacific is an away dual at the home courts of the Sacramento State Hornets on Friday, March 1st at 3:30pm at the Rio Del Oro Racket Club.
